Rivertown Assisted Living Apartments in Detroit, MI provides 80 private apartments to seniors aged 55 years and older who need services to maintain their independence. Seventy-five (75) of the apartments offer housing vouchers through our assisted living voucher program, which provide rental assistance to income qualifying individuals, five of the apartments have no income requirement.
Rivertown Assisted Living offers private apartments to older adults ages 62 and up who need home care services with two or more activities of daily living to maintain independence. Examples of people who meet the MI Choice Eligibility criteria include those that need help with moving around in bed, transferring from bed to a chair and help with toileting and/or bathing. Those services are provided by an on-site service provider. Individuals moving to Rivertown assisted living must have resources to pay for needed personal care and health related services. The Detroit Area Agency on Aging - Mi choice Waiver Program, Program of All-inclusive Care of the Elderly (PACE) and some Veteran Administration benefits are examples of programs that help pay for and support older adults living at Rivertown.
Enrollment in a program must be approved and in place before we can complete the move in process. If you are not already enrolled in a program that provides home care assistance, please contact one of the above agencies for enrollment assistance and information. Individuals must provide proof of their incomes and age to qualify for a voucher.

- Pets or weapons, and is smoke-free.
- Individuals convicted of a felony or has attempted or conspired to commit a felony.
- Families with children or live in caregivers.
- Individuals convicted of misdemeanors involving but not limited to criminal sexual conduct, abuse, neglect, assault, fraud or theft.
