Our History - Thome Rivertown is the first and only 55+ affordable and assisted living development in Detroit, MI. It is located in a former Parke Davis pharmaceutical laboratory on the banks of the Detroit River, which was renovated as part of a major redevelopment effort on the city’s riverfront.

The building, which was originally built in the late 1940’s, maintains many of its historical architectural elements in an open, loft-like setting.
Thome Rivertown is proud not only to offer one-of-a-kind services to seniors in Detroit, but to be an important part of the city’s rebirth, bringing jobs and revitalization to the riverfront.

Our Partners - Brio Living Services and Presbyterian Villages of Michigan have joined forces to develop a unique home for seniors with low incomes in Detroit.

With long histories of caring for seniors throughout Michigan, these organizations have committed their know-how, compassion and resources to allow seniors with low incomes in Detroit to age with independence, comfort, respect and the care they need.
